Tatting in August

Fiber College is fast approaching and looking forward to a new experience.
I have been busy with writing lesson plans and creating tatted earrings and even tatted my shoes for the occasion! I hope all that sign up for my class will not be disappointed. I know we will have an awesome time!

Day 14-16 Tour de Fleece : )

A little behind on the posting, having a blast at The Barnstable Fair! The people are great, it is so wonderful to demo spinning and having so many people interested, old and young, several want to learn to spin, yeah come join the group! Where do you get the fiber? How do you make that fluffy stuff to string? How does a spinning wheel spin the fiber? (That is mostly men questions: )

Poor Sheryl's drive band broke, several attempts lighting it together as you can see in the pics.
Spun and plied my green merino/alpaca fiber, attempted to core spin with corriedale, and spinning my Bunnie, a giant angora, yummy : )

Well I spun more alpaca and merino, and started spinning some green merino top/alpaca.
I also was drop spindling at the dentist office, see you can spin anywhere : )
Will be down at the Barnstable fair, don't know if I can access internet there : { I hope so!

Day 11 Tour de Fleece

Day 11 Tour de Fleece

Just finished spinning and plying the skein of Great Aunt Patuffa!

Tour de Fleece Day 10

Yeah Monday is the day of rest, so I spent some time knitting an arm warmer I spun and designed.
The fiber is from a 10lb coopworth fleece I bought at Maine Fiber Frolic I went to this year.
I also carded Great Aunt Patuffa, a Jacob fleece I bought this year from NH Sheep & Wool festival. It is such a yummy fleece : )

Day 9 Tour de fleece

Day 9 of Tour de Fleece.
It is Sunday and it is my spinning guild meeting day so I did a little of both , drop spinning and spinning on my Lendrum. We have a great group of ladies in this guild, we have so much fun together sharing stories, what we are spinning, great food. I was so glad I could make it!
This skein is alpaca with merino top, I dyed the merino : )
