Tour de Fleece day 2

Day 2 of Tour de Fleece, team Russian underpants, day 1 spent time spinning on my CPW (Canadian Production Wheel) spinning a Romney fiber, sorry no pics on that day ; ( Today I spun Lincoln fiber and plied it with the Romney, will post the yarn picture tomorrow when it is dry, but I do have this picture of me spinning the Lincoln fiber. Twisted the footman on my CPW, just like a bike, have to stop and fix the coat hanger that served as a footman : p

Summer time

Beginning of summer but still feels like spring. It is nice being on top of a mountain because the temperature is cooler. I have been busy getting things ready for my tatting class and creating ways to use tatting. Found out that you can use tatted items to imprint on polymer clay!

Also dyed yarn , knitted and felted a cloche hat and trimmed it with tatting.

And knitted and felted a purse and added a felted tatted item and trimmed the top flap of the purse with a tatted trim.

Spring is Here!

Spring is here! Looking around and seeing the green grass showing and the flowers peeking through is a sight to behold after a long winter. Even the birds are excited with all the chirping, singing makes me happy!
Easter is just around the corner so I decided to tat an Easter Egg for my next tatted item.
Still on my list of tatted items is jewelry, finishing a quilted block I was working on. Hopefully I can find the book, you know how things get when you move, you wonder what box I put it in and did I put it up in the attic. But I just might post it as a work in progress : )

Here is the quilt block that I need to finish, I have to find her gloves, aren't we always losing our gloves : )

It's been soooo long!

My time flies when your busy! New Goals - Keep blogging or you'll get a flogging argh !

Alot has been happening since I last posted, like moving to a different state. I love my new home it is nice and spacious, I even have a studio Fiber Playhouse. So I have been going batty making batts, cleaning and picking and carding fleeces. Dyeing and spinning and designing patterns.

Went to Maine in February for SPA weekend and had so many laughs and eyes filled with eye candy, hands busy feeling yummy fiber, and of course meeting old and new friends, what more could you ask for!

Bummer hubby got laid off but on the upside it got me motived to keep focus on my Fiber Playhouse business, so there are patterns to make up and sell, fiber to sell, orifice hooks, or if you need your fleece cleaned and carded into batts I am here! Just contact me : )

Also I will be teaching needle tatting in Maine at the Fiber College so that is exciting. Hope to see you there!
